Acid Building Replacement
Project Overview
Constructing Around Operations: High-Safety Chemical Facility Upgrade
Whitson successfully executed the construction of a new chemical facility building over an active site containing sulfuric acid tanks, maintaining full operational continuity throughout the project. The work was completed to the highest safety standards, ensuring zero interruptions to the facility, its staff, or ongoing chemical processes while upgrading the building infrastructure.
The project involved carefully demolishing the existing structure and constructing a new building around the old foundation, allowing the acid tanks and team to continue functioning normally at all times. Innovative planning, precise sequencing, and rigorous safety protocols were critical to protecting personnel, materials, and operations while delivering a modern, fully functional chemical facility.
